Department of Defense

On October 20, 2022, the DOD announced that it will pay for time off and travel expenses for servicewomen who want to obtain an abortion.

​

 

Department of Education

On October 4, 2022, the DOE issued a memo to help guide institutes of higher learning regarding Title IX protections against discrimination against pregnancy, including abortion.  Universities are reminded that they must treat pregnancy, childbirth, and abortion “the same as any temporary disability” in their health insurance policies.
