The Time to Act is Now: 2020 Super-States and Planned Parenthood
Heather Weininger | 24 October 2019
Planned Parenthood's top goal is defeating President Donald Trump.

In October of this year, Kelley Robinson, the executive director of the super PAC Planned Parenthood Votes, announced that the group plans on spending at least $45 million in nine key states, focusing on five million voters. That is three times the amount they spent during the 2016 presidential cycle.

Pay close attention if you live in one of these states: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania or Wisconsin.

During the 2018 midterms, Planned Parenthood built a much larger network of grassroots activists. They plan on engaging this same group of activists and expanding their numbers. Planned Parenthood has the organization and the money in place to influence key races in 2020.

Here in Wisconsin, we can see first-hand what it means to be a super-state. It means visits from President Trump and Vice President Pence. It means the Democratic National Convention being held in Milwaukee. Readers might remember that, in 2016, the Democratic presidential nominee (and friend of Planned Parenthood) forgot to campaign here.

We already see Planned Parenthood implementing its 2020 plans by upping their presence on social media, knocking on doors, making public appearances, as well as working with other like-minded groups to register new voters.

As pro-life advocates, we need to start our work now. Funding is not on our side like it is for Planned Parenthood. But our movement does have the truth and numbers of dedicated pro-lifers on our side.

If you live in one of the targeted super states, you need to get involved now. Find out what is happening to engage the electorate and how groups are identifying pro-life voters. If you don’t live in one of the super-states but want to help, then find out who has a super PAC and infrastructure in place to fight against the Planned Parenthood Votes super PAC.

Sitting back at this point in time means putting more judicial appointments at stake, putting more laws to protect the most vulnerable at stake, and putting future generations at stake.

November 3, 2020, is just over one year away. The time to start working is not next year, it is now.
