It's hard to believe the Society of St. Sebastian is publishing its second journal. A feat that could only be accomplished with the stellar contributions from our members. In addition to our quarterly journal, the Society also started providing a weekly platform called, Sebastian's Point, where members share their insights on pressing, relevant topics. I want to thank all of those who have already contributed to the journal or Sebastian's Point.  Not only does the caliber of writing make my job easy, but the content is always illuminating.

I want to encourage those who have already contributed to continue to do so. I also want to extend an invitation to those who have not contributed yet. If you are hesitant about contributing, please look at the variety of writing styles and topics in the journal and Sebastian's Point for some inspiration, then peruse our submission requirements, a link can be found in the journal's table of contents.

The expertise of scholars and professional activists plays a major role in helping society at large understand the complexities of the moral dilemmas we face when confronted with life and death issues.  The Society of St. Sebastian offers its members unique opportunities to influence the larger societal conversation with the message of the Culture of Life. Furthermore, your published contributions help others in the field of bioethics articulate positions that may not be their area of expertise but are areas of interests. Publishing is a very effective way of letting others know of available expertise.

I look forward to working with more of you as we continue to build this Society into something exceptional.
