Federal Briefs - January to May 15, 2025

Department of Justice:

- pardoned pro-life protesters convicted of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act.

The Department of Defense:

 - will no longer enforce a Biden-era policy that helped active service members and their families travel to obtain abortions.

USAID:

- The Mexico City Policy was reinstated, which prohibits foreign organizations receiving U.S. aid from providing or discussing abortion care.

Health and Human Services:

- has frozen Title X funding to organizations that promote or provide abortions.

- RFK JR. has announced that there will be a complete review of the abortion pill.
